After School Activities

Adelaide School has an extended school day.

Pupils are welcome to arrive at school from 8:00am in the morning. In this time they can have breakfast, socialise and spend time with their form tutors. Many children attend school early and enjoy this time. Some of them even have jobs like collecting the newspapers!

After School Clubs are on a Monday and a Thursday. These have varied activities such as street dancing, football and computers. Many of these are run by external agencies like Crewe Alexandra football club. Some pupils just like to stay to socialise with friends and staff.

After school time is also used to continue pupils development and achievement. For example a group of children have recently become ‘Digital Leaders’ in E-safety through completing a course after school. Furthermore on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday there is after school tuition which allows pupils to make accelerated progress and supports the development of their self-esteem.

Many parents also attend after school club to develop their cookery skills.

In addition to this, the school also provides personalised extra-curricular activities for pupils. These are varied and far reaching. Examples include; a member of staff supporting year 11 and 6th form pupils to socialise at a local snooker club one evening a week and other members of staff taking pupils to watch local football matches on a Saturday. Our commitment extends beyond the school day and pupils and parents are regularly in contact over facebook.
