'To help young people help themselves'

Through the art and photography curriculum, all pupils at Adelaide School will have the opportunity to be creative, using a variety of materials to communicate their ideas when making images and artefacts. They will develop ideas through investigations and be able to present purposeful and meaningful responses to a given tasks while celebrating their individual strengths.

Pupils will build on their drawing, painting and craft skills through joint projects within the Design and Technology department, focusing on employability skills such as developing ideas, communicating ideas and learning to accept opinions of others.

Pupils will be able to communicate effectively, evaluating and analysing the works of others through different times and cultures and become resilient, independent and aspirational learners.
