All pupils at Adelaide School access a highly effective careers programme that supports pupils to make informed, realistic and intelligent decisions the next stage of their education, training or employment with training. At Adelaide School we have a Careers Charter for pupils, this tells them the range of support and careers based activities they will have the opportunity to access throughout their time here.

This includes support from outside agencies, visiting speakers, college visits and courses, careers fairs, online support and work experience. 

We have had visiting speakers and support from a wide range of organisations and businesses including:

  • The NHS Inspiring Futures
  • Changing Education
  • South Cheshire Chamber of Commerce (The Crewe Pledge)
  • The Careers and Enterprise Company
  • Prison – Me No Way
  • Crewe Town Council

  • The Youth Federation - New Leaf
  • The Army
  • The Cheshire Cheese Company

There have also been a number of careers visits including:

  • The Lyceum Theatre
  • The Careers Live Expo at the NEC in Birmingham
  • The Etihad Stadium University Programme
  • Cheshire College - South and West
  • Reasheath College
  • McDonalds
  • Starbucks 
  • Lipa
  • AO
  • Leighton Hospital

We work with local colleges to make sure that pupils make the right choices for them and feel confident to move on to this next stage in their education.

Looking for an apprenticeship? you can SEARCH and APPLY here on the National Apprenticeship Service website.

They have also developed the Learn Live website which shows recorded programs explaining information about apprenticeships and specific employers.

The National Careers Service provides information, advice and guidance to help you make decisions on learning, training and work.

In 2018 4 pupils joined the Adelaide School 6th Form, 3 went into Further Education and 1 went into Full Time Training.

In 2017 after leaving Adelaide School 5 pupils went on to Further Education Establishments, 2 went into Full Time Training and 1 was actively seeking  employment.
