This has been a fantastic opportunity to not only celebrate the Coronation of our new King but to also explore British Values. In subjects across the curriculum pupils have been discussing the Coronation, what is it?, what is the symbolism of all the ceremony and regalia surrounding the event?

We had a jam packed week of events including Coronation recipe food tasting and a whole school Coronation Lunch Party. Pupils were invited to where red, white and blue or dress royal for the day and the school was a sea of crowns and tiara's. 

We set a Coronation Careers Challenge where we tried to think of as many careers as we could connected to the Coronation. These ranged from bunting manufacturers to street cleaners. 

Our fantastic parents group -TEAM joined in with the Challenge and designed their own bunting to help us to decorate the school. 

Pupils made paper chains, designed royal paper aeroplanes and wrote about that they would do if they were King or Queen for the day.
