Our 6th Form

-From September 2014 we have provided a 6th Form provision. We developed this due to many of our year 11 pupils not wanting to leave! It was felt that the ‘nurturing’ environment at Adelaide School would help some students to continue their social and emotional journeys!

Student’s access:

-GCSE and functional English and maths

-Cambridge Technical ICT

-Cambridge Techincal Business

-Hospitality and Catering at South Cheshire College

-Duke of Edinburgh Award

-Volunteering opportunities

-Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning (SEAL)

-Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education

-Work skills (BTEC)

-Life Skills

Student’s Experiences:

-International Residential

-Work with the British Heart Foundation

-Volunteering with companies such as a landscape gardener.

-Mentoring in lower school

-Running Charity Fundraising and Parent drop in’s.

Excitingly, we have received funding to develop a new building to develop a common room for the 6th Form Pupils. In the first instance this will be in the heart of the school and there is planning in place to develop a custom designed building as soon as possible.
