'To help young people help themselves'

The school council meets once a half term to discuss current issues that have arisen through tutorial times and staff meetings.  This is a regular opportunity for a frank and focused discussion led by students on the running and day to day life of Adelaide, their school.

New discussion points are brought to the meeting from all year groups and given equal priority.

All students are eligible to stand for election to represent their year group.

Elected members all take the role of Chair on rotation.

Topics discussed have included:

  • Attendance
  • Rewards and sanctions
  • Educational Visits
  • Anti-bullying
  • Toilets
  • School Uniform
  • School Values
